• What We Will Study

    In Reading, we will complete the transition that began in 3rd Grade from learning to read to reading to learn. We will continue to practice finding the main idea, summarizing what we read, and finding connections both in the story and in our lives.  

    In Math, we continue to practice our multiplication tables, understanding and breaking down word problems and move further into the area of fractions, telling time, and division.

    In Writing, we continue to practice the skill of putting together a story using the elements of description, suspense, and main event. Expanding our vocabulary will be essential.

    In Science, we enter the world of electricity and magnets, the water cycle, and the food chain as well as continue the study of the scientific method. Several science projects will follow.
