FRC is the Place to Be!
The Bridgeport Family Resource Centers have been in existence since 1994. Our services promote comprehensive, integrated, community-based systems of family support and child development services. We provide parenting education, promote family involvement with our schools, connect families to community resources, and help children to succeed academically, socially and emotionally.
The Family Resource Centers provide access, within a community, to a broad continuum of early childhood and family support services which foster the optimal development of children and families.
We believe that parents are their child’s first and most influential teachers.
We currently have three locations in Bridgeport:Cesar Batalla Family Resource Center, Roosevelt Family Resource Center and Dunbar family resource center.

Here at Cesar Batalla we offer the following:
- members ESL classes through Adult Education—Monday through Thursday from 9 AM-12 PM
- Music Together Class-Tuesday from 11:00 AM-11:45 AM
- Diaper bank-FRC members must attend 4 consecutive sessions of an activity to enroll in the Diaper Bank. Diapers are distributed once a month.
- Food distribution-Mondays and Tuesdays time fluctuates; call or email
- Clothing community Closet- 9:00 AM-3:00 PM
- School collaborative events with PAC- Thanksgiving, Christmas
- Parent/child Fieldtrips- One Friday a month
- Job coaching- By appointment only
- Personal Visits/ Ages and Stages Questionnaire- By appointment only
- Fitness Fridays- One month a year (month changes each year) Call or email for dates
- Playgroups-Thursdays 11:00 AM-11:45 AM
- Workshop Wednesdays- two months a year (month changes each year) Call or email for dates

*In order to be a member of the Cesar Batalla Family Resource Center, you must be a Bridgeport resident and fill out a membership application between 9:00 AM-3:00 PM. Please note: There may be specific criteria to enroll in some of the services listed above.
