• Dear parents and guardians,


    As Principal of Geraldine Claytor Magnet Academy, I am excited and honored to serve as the Educational Leader of the school and to become a member of this great community.      My staff and I look forward to a productive partnership that will allow all of our students to achieve at their highest potential.  As partners, we share the responsibility for your child’s success.  We embark on this journey with a pledge to you and to our students that Geraldine Claytor Magnet Academy will provide engaging, meaningful and rigorous lessons in our classrooms based on STEAM principles (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math).  These principles will be blended into the District curriculum as a tool to provide every student from Pre-K to Eighth grade with a quality education.

    The Geraldine Claytor Magnet Academy staff is anticipating a very positive and productive school year.  We extend an open invitation for our families to join us at school activities and events whenever possible.  We want, we need and we value your involvement and support in your child’s education.  Your active participation is a key component to the success of our school.  We would like you to work together with the Geraldine Claytor Magnet Academy staff to guide and support the learning of our students by ensuring that your child:

    · Attends school every day and arrives on time ready to learn

    · Completes all homework assignments given by their teachers

    · Reads at home daily to develop a love for reading and to improve their literacy skills

    · Informs you if he/she needs additional support in any area or subject

    · Shares school experiences with you on a daily basis so you are knowledgeable of their school day

     

    The Geraldine Claytor Magnet Academy Staff and I feel privileged to be a part of this wonderful learning community; a place that is alive with energy, enthusiasm and a high standard of excellence.  We will strive everyday to make our school a great place to learn and work as we move “FULL STEAM AHEAD” in our goal to ensure that all of our students are “college and career ready”!
