Welcome to Black Rock School!  

I am very excited and honored to join the Black Rock School Community.   

As we begin this journey together for the 2024 - 25 school year, I would like to take this opportunity to share a little bit about myself.   I have been in education for almost twenty-five years.  Throughout these years, I have held a variety of positions, such as Pre-School-Director, Middle School Mathematics Teacher, Math Coach, Intervention Coordination and Interim Assistant Principal.   

Like many of our students, I was born and raised in Bridgeport, and English is my second language. Bridgeport students, staff and families have always held a special place in my heart.  As I reflected on where I wanted to continue my leadership journey, I knew that coming back home to work in the Bridgeport Public School system was the right choice for me. This will be my 3rd year as the Assistant Principal of Black Rock School and I have to say I have absolutely enjoyed my time getting to know your children and their families.

As the Assistant Principal at Black Rock School, my goal is to work with all members of our school community to create a welcoming school environment in which all students feel safe, supported, and cared for.   I firmly believe that student success is a shared responsibility between all stakeholders: students, families, teachers, school leaders, and community members. Through ongoing collaboration, open channels of communication, and a focused commitment to excellence, I am confident our students will reach their full potential and grow to be thoughtful and productive citizens. 

I look forward to working in partnership with you to provide our students with ongoing opportunities to learn in an inviting, engaging, and safe environment.
