Bullying

Briefly, bullying means repeated use by one or more students of a written, verbal or electronic communication, such as cyberbullying, directed at or referring to another student attending school in the same school district, or a physical act or gesture by one or more students repeatedly directed at another student attending school in the same school district.
Edison School complies with State and District policies. All students and parents are encouraged to report any act of bullying to the school personnel. School employees who witness an act of bullying are also required to report the School Climate Officer or building principal.
All reports of bullying are investigated. Parents/guardians of students who commit a verified act of bullying are notified as are parents/guardians of students against whom such act was directed. The measures taken to ensure the safety of the student(s) against whom such act was directed, and actions taken to prevent further acts of bullying are communicated to parents/guardians.
