Meet Mrs. Taft

"I have been working in Bridgeport for 8 years as a self-contained, special education, preschool teacher. I am excited to embark on this new opportunity as our first ever Bridgeport Adaptive Arts Teacher! This new position combines my two biggest passions, the arts and special education. I have had the pleasure of working with amazing occupational therapists, speech therapists and physical therapists over the years and can’t wait to collaborate with them to create amazing, meaningful lessons for our special education students. Our hope is that our students can have additional opportunities to explore the arts and work on their IEP objectives. Hopefully, this new position is the first of many so we can reach all of the special education students in our district." - Mrs. Taft
