    Special Olympics at Park City Magnet School

     

    Special Olympics Connecticut provides year-round sports training and competitions for over 12,000 athletes. We are proud to offer this program for PCM students diagnosed with intellectual disabilities, as well as throughout the Bridgeport Community aged 8 to 18.

    June 10, 2019:  The Park City Magnet Bridgeport Special Olympics Team competed in the Summer Games at SCSU and Yale 6/7-6/9. The athletes stayed over all weekend in the college dorms, and competed in the 100M dash, the Javelin Throw and the Standing Long Jump. Our students brought home a total of 3 gold, 8 silver, and 5 bronze medals!

    Saturday, May 11th:  Students on the Special Olympics Team competed in Time Trials at Weston High School Saturday May 11th. They competed in the 100M dash, Mini Javelin Throw, and Standing Long Jump. They all did an amazing job, and are looking forward to the Summer Games!

    Saturday, March 31st:  Student-Athletes gather at Fairfield University for some gym time!  Olympians took part in basketball, dodgeball, volleyball and kickball!
