About Us
Bridgeport Public Schools offers Transitional Bilingual Education classrooms at the following schools:
- Barnum, Cesar Batalla, Columbus, Johnson, Multicultural Magnet, Harding High, Luis Munoz Marin, and Roosevelt.
Additionally, we offer a (TBE) Native Language Support service model at the following schools:
Beardsley, Black Rock, Bryant, Curiale, Dunbar, Madison, Winthrop
We offer a pull-out and/or push-in ESL service model as well as an ESL Tutor service model at the majority of our schools.
Our dual language program "Unidos" is available at one school: Cesar Batalla in grades K-5.
Our World Languages Department provides a variety of options for students to explore and become proficient in another language. Spanish courses are available across all of our high schools at different levels, from Spanish Levels 1- 5, Advanced Placement and UCONN Early College Experience, Spanish for Spanish Speakers, French Levels 1-4, Mandarin Chinese Levels 1-3, and Portuguese Levels.
