Ms. Arroyo is an English teacher and Teacher Leader at BMA. She was a Bridgeport Public School student herself-she went to High Horizons Magnet School and Central High School. After high school, she attended Assumption College and received a Bachelor's Degree in English Literature and Secondary Education. In 2018, she received her Master's in English Literature from Southern New Hampshire University. She received her Sixth Year Certificate in Educational Leadership in May 2023 and is working on her doctorate in Educational Leadership. She not only has a love for English, but the arts as well, and loves acting and drama! She became a teacher because she wanted to give students a mentor and role model, just as teachers in the past gave to her! In 2018, she was awarded a Teacher of the Year award from the Bridgeport Public Education Fund, and in 2020, she was awarded the Service About Self award from the Bridgeport Rotary Club. She hopes to continue to inspire students to have an appreciation for literature.
