    I hope that you have had a restful and enjoyable summer with your families. I want to welcome our students, parents, and staff to another exciting school year at Multicultural Magnet School! 

    Right now, we are putting the final touches to the preparations to welcome our MCM family back to school. This year, we look forward to welcoming many new students as well as some new teachers who are now part of our family. We will open our doors ONLY for KINDERGARTEN STUDENTS on Monday, August 28th at 8:30 am.  We will welcome all students on Tuesday, August 29th.  

    As you return, you will notice several changes on our campus.  We have a new outdoor classroom outside of the gym area for HHMS students and another one outside of the cafeteria area for MCM students.  Our gymnasium has been updated and looks amazing! I am very excited to announce that we also have a brand-new playground that is almost completed for our scholars to enjoy! We are planning for our official opening of this playground and will be sending you an invitation so you can join us.  

    We ask for your cooperation if you are dropping off or picking up your child at school.  Please park in the HHMS parking area, using a parking space for drop-off and pick-up.  Don’t forget that the parking lot functions like a one-way street for everyone’s safety. We will have our staff out there directing traffic and ask that you follow their directives so we can all be safe.  

    Please make sure your child comes to school in uniform and brings their completed Summer Learning Packets on the first day of school. Don’t forget to check our school’s website for the link for the bus stops.  You will find all of the stops and the pick-up times.     We are looking forward to partnering with you so we can make this school year the best ever! I hope you enjoy the rest of the summer and look forward to seeing you on the first day of school.
